Dentures are a removable set of false teeth. Designed to sit over your gums, dentures are formed of an acrylic or metal (cobalt chrome) base and a set of prosthetic teeth. You can be fitted with either full or partial dentures.
Dentures are used to replace missing teeth or teeth that are damaged beyond repair. As with all our treatments here at Hampstead Dental Studio, weβll go over all your treatment options with you. In this way, we can make sure you are completely happy with the bespoke plan we develop together.
We will take an impression here at the practice and your dentures will be made for you by a lab technician. If you need to have any teeth removed before getting your set of dentures, then we will do that here at Hampstead Dental Studio too.
Having a set of dentures will hopefully help restore your confidence when it comes to eating, drinking, and smiling.
They can take some time to get used to, and you might want to eat soft foods to begin with, but eventually, you will find eating much easier than with your damaged or missing teeth.
You will have to use an adhesive to fix your dentures in place while wearing them, and we will talk you through everything you need to know about caring for your dentures.
