A single tooth dental implant is simply one titanium screw implanted into your jaw to act as a root or peg for a new prosthetic tooth.
A single tooth dental implant is normally fitted over two appointments. Initially, we will have to perform an X-ray to make sure you’re a suitable candidate for the treatment. Once this has been determined, you’ll come in for your first appointment, during which we’ll fit you with your implant.
There will then be a period of a few months, during which the screw and the jawbone will successfully fuse together. During this time, we’ll fit you with a temporary prosthetic. Once the implant is ready to take a permanent denture, you’ll come back to have it fitted.
